Tit for Tat?
A demoted police officer has spilled the beans on the rot in Kenya Police Service.
In a lengthy post on Facebook, Pius Masai Mwachi took issue with his employer, revealing the untold suffering and frustration that police officers including himself go through in the force, stating that it is part of the reasons why some of his colleagues had left the service.
He disclosed that favouritism and frustrations by senior police officers were among the reasons why some of his colleagues had left the service.
The disgruntled police officer held that it is unfair for the government to spend millions (probably billions) to train and deploy police officers only for them to be taken advantage of, frustrated
Mwachi stated that it was unfair for the government to spend so much money to train and deploy police officers only for them to be taken advantage of.
“Why should the government hire, train, deploy people using taxpayers money and later a few senior individuals?” Mwachi fumed.
Mwachi alleged that in his case,he had been removed from the National Disaster Management Unit (NDMU), a decision which he blamed on a few individuals within the police force who are out to frustrate him.
‘For my case, I thought it was enough for I was removed from National Disaster Management Unit (NDMU) to Nyanza Region as a Staff Officer.
“I am still being deliberately frustrated by the same individuals who created my transfer out of NDMU are still furthering their objectives in ensuring that they completely see that I am nobody. I believe God knows my destiny as I am a servant of the people,” he added.
In the emotional rant on Facebook, Mwachi urged President Uhuru Kenytta and Interior CS Fred Matiang’i to intervene in the plight of police ufficers suffering in silence before it is too late.
