Double tragedy reported from the family of the celebrated woman who gave birth to five babies in Kakamega.
Evelyn Namukhula was Sunday reported dead with details also emerging that two of her quintuplets had also died last week.
Namukhula reportedly complained of chest pains at around
Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) CEO Dr. Wilson Aruasa said the two baby boys were “very sick” when they were admitted to the hospital from Kakamega General Hospital where they were born.
“There were five babies but the two boys were very sick and have also died. But the 3 girls are okay and growing well,” said Dr. Aruasa.
He added that tests conducted on Ms. Namukhula before her death showed that her heart
Ms. Namukhula sprung to the limelight when she gave birth to three girls and two boys through a Caesarean Section at Kakamega General Hospital on March 13, 2019.
She was later transferred to MTRH in Eldoret after one of the babies developed complications.
