Police in Yatta have launched investigations into last night’s brutal murder of a 52-year-old man in Kaluluini village in Matuu location.
Area OCPD Joseph Karanja said the body of the deceased was found by villagers this morning dumped inside Yatta canal. Karanja said the body had visible deep cuts on the neck, head and in the back. His private parts had also been chopped off.
“We suspect the cause of the murder was a long standing land dispute in the family. Already we have arrested one suspect in connection with the incident,” said Karanja. The deceased’s body was removed to Matuu Level 4 Hospital mortuary awaiting post-mortem.
