Arsenal Miss-Out on Massive Signing As Board Disappoints Again with poor Offer!

In-demand midfield sensation Nicolo Zaniolo will renew his current contract at AS Roma, the prodigy’s father has confirmed while stating Inter Milan and Juventus are the only Serie A sides who could afford Nicolo.

The 19-year-old playmaker has impressed in 21 league matches this year and netted his sixth goal of the campaign during Wednesday’s 2-2 draw versus Fiorentina.

Nicolo’s form has earned him a status as one of the most exciting youngsters in Italy and has led to speculation connecting him with a host of top European heavyweights.

He only moved to Rome-based outfit last summer from Inter Milan for €4.5 million (£3.9 million) and his father doesn’t see him moving on again at the conclusion of the current campaign.

“Given the figures circulating, I don’t think many teams would be able to sign him,” Igor Zaniolo told an Italian newspaper Tuttosport.

“In Italy, I think only Juventus and Inter. We have no preference. There will be discussions between clubs first. We will see in the summer.”

Pressed on Nicolo’s long-term future, Igor added: “Are we renewing with Roma? Yes, exactly.”

Having been knocked out of UCL in a dramatic last-16 tie with Liga NOS side Porto, and thrashed 7-1 in their Coppa Italia quarter-final versus Fiorentina in January, Giallorossi are set to end the 2018-19 campaign without a trophy as the club sit seventh in Italy’s top tier.

But Zaniolo’s father keen to see him win major trophies in the future. “I’d like to become a champion,” Igor continued.

“And I wouldn’t mind seeing him play with the best, that is, with one of [Lionel] Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, [Kylian] Mbappe or Neymar.

“But, above all, whether it’s Roma or Los Angeles Galaxy, he hopes that in the coming years he will start winning trophies.”
