TV personality Jacque Maribe finally gets back her car

Standard.

Detectives investigating murder of Nairobi business woman Monica Kimani have been ordered to hand back a car belong to TV girl Jacque Maribe.

The Toyota Allion car was impounded as an exhibit in the mysterious murder in September 2018 and was believed to be regularly used by Maribe’s detained lover Joseph Irungu who is a prime suspect.

Through her lawyer, the journalist filed an application seeking to have Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Noordin Haji and Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti allow her access her black iPhone, house and other documents which had been confiscated.

However, a court sitting in November 2018 directed the DPP to allow her only access to the Lang’ata house and clothes.

Unconfirmed reports indicate investigating team was thrown under the bus after prosecution witnesses failed to place her in the crime scene. The news anchor was arrested and detained alongside her fiance Irungu and friend Brian Kassaine, now a state witness.

The mother of one got her freedom back after 31 days in custody on a KSh 2 million bond plus same surety amount and was barred from reading news.

Her boyfriend however will remain a guest of the State pending trial scheduled from June to June 27 2019.
