Deputy President William Ruto has looked to rub salt into Raila Odinga’s wounds after congratulating Ugenya MP elect David Ochieng and his Embakasi South counterpart Julius Mawathe.
“The hustler nation has spoken, the people have decided. GLORY TO THE ALMIGHTY GOD.” Reads a message on Ruto’s Twitter handle.
Even though Jubilee did not field a candidate in the two elections, ODM politicians have been using Ruto’s name in the campaigns.
A video has gone viral of a political rally in Ugenya, where a politician is heard telling people not to vote for David Ochieng because it is like voting for WSR.
ODM’s candidate in Embakasi, Ishrad Sumra promised to protect public property from land grabbers. He is also recorded on a video insulting Ruto with vulgar language.
