Eric Omondi defends Chipukeezy’s NACADA position

Comedian Eric Omondi has today defended Chipukeezy’s NACADA position and blasted his critics who do not show some level of appreciation for his efforts.

Vincent Muasya(Chipukeezy) was appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta to the board of NACADA to represent the young people and reach out to them. His assignment requires him  to speak to young people as well as  interacting with them at a personal level.

Eric Omondi says that he is bothered by the fact that the NACADA Director is at times criticized for his dress code and people demanding that he needs to look more cooperate.

The Comedian also added that most of the people who affected with drug related issues are the youth and they need someone who looks easily approachable and just like them.

In a long Instagram post, Eric Omondi says that he is tired of people attacking Chipukeezy an decided to speak about the matter.

He also added that he lost his brother last year because of the attitude that people have and maintains that young people need people they can relate with and of course one of them.

Eric Omondi says that young people are quick to demand that the youth need to be given positions by the government yet the sad reality is that if one Is given a chance, the youth end up trolling instead of giving their support.

The comedian, being a close friend to Chipukeezy also hinted on the efforts of the NACADA director saying that he traves across the country meeting people with addictions and the best that people can do is to acknowledge these efforts too.

Speaking on his efforts, Chipukeezy today accompanied the Chief Justice David Maraga, Head of Red Cross Kenya Abbas Gullet, Hon Abdi Samar and DPP Noordin haji to officially open the Lamu Rehabilitation Centre.
