Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu has found self in a land tussle with slum dwellers in Kiangombe and Masai villages.
On Tuesday Waititu using bulldozers and crowbars pulled down a perimeter wall.

He accused private developers of grabbing the land meant for the public development and resettlement.
This comes barely a month after Lands Chief Administrative Secretary Gideon Mung’aro met residents who had reported the matter to his office.
“The ministry is particularly concerned by the many cases of theft of public land reported in Thika, Ruiru and neighboring areas. We are telling those behind these schemes that it is only a matter of time before we catch up with them,” Mung’aro had said.
“We shall not allow individuals to steal public land,” he said but declined to field questions from journalists,”
Masai village chairman Ibrahim Woche said that the cartels have terrorised the locals by demolishing their houses.
This isn’t the first time for the governor Waititu to supervise the demolition of the private properties.
In 2017, Waititu accompanied by his deputy Nyoro and real estate developer Dr. Gakuyo invaded a private land in Thika near the bluepost hotel and constructed to ease traffic snarl up.
Waititu also accused the plot owner of grabbing a riparian land.
With Cases of corruption being so rampant across the Country,Waititu maybe accused of grabbing the land.
Recently nominated MP Maina Kamanda accused Waititu of being corrupt.
“Wewe ni Mwizi sana na kila mtu anajua hivyo but all those things ypou have stolen we will come for them one day,”he said.
