Popular TV Host Grace Ekirapa speaks on sexual abuse

Popular TV host Grace EKirapa  has strongly condemned sexual abuse and created awareness on the same.

The crossover 101 host says she had always wanted to speak about it for a while and she believes that now  is the right time to address the matter.

Gracee says that alot of people are stuck in addictions, in habits that are unheard of and many people are very quick to label them and talk about how immoral they are but nobody takes time to find out what the issue is.

“Abuse is evil, it is a disaster that is capable of breeding habits that are driven by anger and pain. So many people are responding to life bitter because they blame themselves.” She said in her post.

The TV host also went further to encourage people to speak up if they go through any form of abuse inorder to be linked to safe places that will see them through counselling and recovery.

 Grace added that   some people end up revenging because of what happened to them and in turn they hurt themselves and people they love.

She also encouraged people saying that they should feel worth and never blame themselves in cases where they are abused.

“Nobody deserves to be taken advantage of. It is wrong to inflict pain on somebody even if they took steps that led to that situation.” She noted

She also maintained that people  need to feel protected by people they  have decided to trust and no man or woman has the right to defile somebody just because they are stronger than them or because they can.

Grace encourages people to take responsibility to create awareness and campaign against abuse so that they can end the inhumane act.

She also insist that it is indeed important to reach out for help instead of remaining silent and hurting.

The TV host also shared  details of how to get help.

Just a few days ago, it was allover the news that Kenya is among the leading countries when it comes to depression.

Some of the factors that would with no doubt contribute to depression also include abuse whether sexual,physical or emotional.
