For the first time in a long time, Deputy President William Ruto’s name did not appear on the front page of leading daily newspapers.
Ruto is a brand that sells in the media house and it helps woo readers to buy the newspapers.
William Ruto, on Wednesday, jokingly asked the media houses to give him dividends at the end of the month for using his name.
Dr. Ruto added that the media should shy away from fake news and start publishing accurate information.
“Kama hiyo ndo maneno ati lazima jina ya Ruto ikue hapo, msinisahau dividends ikifika kwa sababu ni kama tunasaidiana kuuza gazeti,” he said.
However, Thursday newspapers had no Ruto on the front page as it is always a norm.
