Cold man Mutilates Girlfriend, dumps body in brutal murder

Residents of Bukhananga Village in Kakamega County were infuriated after a man tortured his girlfriend and dumped her body in a gold mine.

The irate residents on Wednesday discovered that 28-year-old Obed Ihaji brutally murdered his girlfriend after the body was found in a pit.

Neighbours found Carolyne Mutuku’s body inside a pit situated in Ihaji’s family land and just 20 metres from his house, with her tongue removed, eyes gouged out and ears chopped off.

They, therefore, arrested the suspect and handed him over to police.

Ihaji is said to have been seen with Mukutu on March 2 at the nearby Matioli shopping centre, where they had been drinking before they were dropped at home by a boda-boda rider.

Ihaji was arraigned in court and granted a Sh500,000 bond with a surety of similar amount.

The case will be heard on June 11.
