True to his message, the killer of US rapper Nipsey Hussler who New York police arrested in connection with the killing will have to pay for the crime if convicted.

Eric Holder whose photo was released on Tuesday, April 2, was nabbed by authorities while in hiding.

According to CBS, Eric was apprehended after a witness spotted him near the crime scene. Police believe the 29-year-old gunman had personal issues with Nipsey which could have led to the fatal attack.

The suspect was seen in front of the rapper’s store a number of times before the Sunday, March 31, shooting. Authorities also said Eric was a gang leader.

As per police reports, prior to his death, Nipsey was planning to meet with authorities to discuss gang violence.

The singer’s lover, Lauren London, described his death as a huge loss which rendered her speechless.

“I am completely lost, I have lost my best friend, my sanctuary, my protector, my soul. I am lost without you. We are lost without you babe, I have no words,” she wrote on an Instagram post.

Nipsey and two other victims were shot in front of the rapper’s store. As earlier reported, the Racks In The Middle musician sustained a gunshot wound to the head and chest area.

Paramedics tried to resuscitate him at the scene of the crime and he was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
