They say when gods of luck are on your side, then you will always smile all the way to the bank! That is what exactly happened to one fan.
A football fan has revealed how he predicted the future in his dream and won £418 after betting on it. Stunned Tom Sills, 25, from Southampton, is still reeling from the bizarre incident on Saturday which he admits “made no sense”.
It was while catching 40 winks on Friday night, that the logistics worker envisaged his team Colchester United would score a 90th minute winner against Cambridge on Saturday.
And as his deep snooze continued, he also foresaw that Stoke would draw in their match against Sheffield Wednesday – as he chatted to Pep Guardiola. “As dreams go, it made no sense,” said Tom. “But it was so vivid.”
He woke up unusually early at 6.30am – something he thinks may have been a sign – and immediately checked the odds on the games and decided to take a punt and put a £10 stake on.
He then shared this prediction with his dad and his mates in a WhatsApp group.
Fast forward a couple of hours, Tom and his friend Danny headed for a pint at The Grapes pub – where some of the Titanic crew went for a drink before the fateful voyage.
“I said give me a bit of luck, Danny,” Tom said.
The pair were then utterly stunned when the scores come in – and they were exactly what Tom had foreseen in his dream, minus the part about chatting with Guardiola.
“I was gobsmacked,” he said. “We couldn’t believe it.”I was showing people in the pub. It was almost a bit scary and I was a little bit freaked out. Not only was Tom absolutely bewildered – but also £418 richer thanks to the single and double bets he placed beforehand.
