Police on Wednesday morning were able to get a hold of a notorious gang in Nairobi’s Lucky Summer area.
The gang of three was shot dead, while police seized deadly weapons and household goods that they were reported to have planned to escape with.
The ordeal is said to have occurred when the thus had attacked an apartment, breaking into houses while terrorising the tenants.
Nairobi police boss Philip Ndolo said an alarm was raised and alerted police who were on patrol.
The officers responded and managed to shoot dead the three while two others are said to have escaped on foot, Ndolo said.
