Vocal Elgeyo Marakwet senator Murkomen Kipchumba has voiced his opinion on the nation drawn to sickness ‘depression’ that has affected many in the country and is currently being sensitized on.
A report released by the World Health Organisation (WHO) on world mental health situation has placed Kenya as the sixth most depressed country in Africa.
WHO defines depression as a common mental disorder characterized by persistent sadness and loss of interest in activities you normally enjoy accompanied by an inability to carry out daily activities, for at least two weeks.
“There is an online army of evil people out to bully, insult&demean you on social media.Don’t read their comments.Don’t take them serious. They are running away from their personal problems.Ignore the trend. They won’t take you anywhere. It’s fast forgotten.Stay cool.Avoid depression,” Murkomen tweeted.
