DIRTY TRICKS! How Desperate James Orengo Organized Youth to Stone his own Convoy

Siaya Senator James Orengo may be talking tough about impeaching Deputy President William Ruto but it seems all is not well at his own backyard back home.

News reaching our desk is that the Senator’s convoy was stoned on Sunday as he tried to enter Sihayi shopping center, East Ugenya Ward.

Details intimate to us that the angry mob destroyed at least 11 cars in the fracas, during a campaign rally for Ugenya Parliamentary candidate Chris Karan.

Orengo has been at his own backyard trying to drum up support for the ODM candidate, whose elections were nullified by the Supreme Court after a petition from Movement for Development and Growth candidate David Ochieng.

Even though Orengo and co have blamed the fracas on their competitor, it has been revealed that the ODM group could have organised youths to attack them and then shift blame for cheap political mileage.

Alego-Usonga MP Samwel Atandi and Siaya County Education Executive Mary Olute vehicles were extensively damaged.

“I do not know how I will replace the wind screen of the vehicle I had hired because Karan has refused to cater for the repairs,” said an ODM supporter.

This was the second incident after youths believed to belong to Yenga boda-boda operators stoned  Orengo’s vehicle as he entered Yenga to do campaign for the ODM candidate.

The Sunday evening incident happened few hours after police shot in the air to disperse residents who had attempted to disrupt an ODM rally at the market, claiming  Aduma  had threatened to use his position as  a member of the  National Assembly Security Committee to transfer local police officers.

Orengo said  that he is not worried by the incidences of violence which he described as the  kicks of a dying horse, adding that they will pick up the issues after campaigns.

The Ugenya by-elections are believed to be very tight and the ODM candidate can be looking at a landslide defeat.

Last week, Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga warned Ugenya residents not to expect any development if they don’t vote in the ODM candidate.
