Days after it emerged that the government has plans to ban use of raw animal manure by farmers, Kenyans expressed their anger on the proposed regulation terming it abhorrent .
One Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria is equally livid on the controversial bill, On a Facebook post, the legislator expressed his disapointmnt with the Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri for sponsoring such a Bill.

The bill which was drafted by the county governments alongside the Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Irrigation Cabinet secretary, and the Agriculture and Food Authority (AFA) seeks to tighten regulations which govern food production.
The fourth schedule of the Crops Act passed in 2013 and regulation 30(2) of the draft, which deals with the prohibition of use raw human sewage and raw organic manure states: “A grower shall not use raw animal manure for the production of food crops”.
