Revealed: Dates and venues for Arsenal’s mouthwatering 2019 International Champions Cup fixtures

Arsenal fans heading to the United States this summer are in line for a real treat – with three mouthwatering pre-season games to be staged on the opposite side of the Atlantic.

In recent years, Arsenal have travelled east for the summer but in 2019 they will be heading west to once again take part in the International Champions Cup.

Official confirmation of Unai Emery’s side’s schedule in the competition is set to be announced on Wednesday afternoon, but Daily Active understands the Gunners will meet Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Roma during their stay in the United States.

The first of Arsenal’s three ICC fixtures will be against Munich on July 17 and will be staged in Los Angeles, the home of owner Stan Kroenke’s NFL franchise the LA Rams. The game is expected to take place at the 27,000 capacity Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson.

Arsenal will then travel to Charlotte, North Carolina, where they will meet Roma in the Bank of America Stadium, which has a capacity of 75,412.

The last of the three games will be the biggest of the lot, with Emery’s side meeting Spanish giants Real Madrid in Washington DC at the 82,000 capacity FedEx Field on July 23.

Arsenal are also set to play a game against MLS side the Colorado Rapids during their stay in the United States, although a date for that fixture is not yet known.

The Rapids are part of the Kroenke empire and play their football in the Western Conference of MLS.

Once Arsenal return to Europe following their stay Stateside, they are expected to have two more warm-up games ahead of the start of the Premier League season on August 11.
