Gospel Artist Hope Kid together with an organization that creates awareness on autism; autism light inc reached out to the Turkana residents amid the ongoing drought.
The Singer went on the two day trip and together with the team managed to donate foodstuffs to 4 villages which are some of the most affected villages in Lodwar Turkana county.
They distributed 30 bags of maize , 15 bags of beans (45kg each bag (gunia) 10 boxes of cooking fat (24 pieces in each box) 10 packs of salt (each pack contains 32 pieces of salt bags) food that will last them for a week or two.
In lodwar they also visited an IDP CHURCH CAMP where people fleeing from hunger, drought and tribal wars camp.In the camp, they were able feed 100 families.
The Gospel Singer also we called upon Kenyans to respond to the call of humanity and join hands in taking care of the affected.
Although some Kenyans were reluctant to give any form of donation, others stood to be counted including female artist Akothee who mobilized people to send out their contributions to respond to the situation.
