Comedian Eric Omondi has been attacked by Kenyans for supporting bongo music greatly than he does locally. He mostly use music in his comedy and have been accused of not using the local music greatly like he use the bongo music.

Here received the blows after the recent Tamu parody he did with his brother Fred Omondi of Tanzania artist, Mbosso. Although he has used several local music in his parody, like the Short and Sweet by Sauti Sol, the number cant be compared with the bongo parodies he has done.

After the hit ‘Nyegezi’ song by Diamond and Rayvanny was released, Eric also did its parody.

Without forgetting Khadija Kopa hit song with Diamond Platnumz, ‘Nasema Nawe’ which was followed by Eric’s parody, ‘Nabeba Mawe’.

Eric also did ‘Utanipea’ parody whose original song is ‘Utanipenda’ by Diamond.

Navy Kenzo hit ‘ Katika’ also didn’t surviveEric’s parodie since he also did one named ‘Patikana’.

Eric doesn’t only stick to Wasafi musicians since he also did a parody of Ali Kiba’s ‘Aje’ song.

Will the motion ‘Support Kenya Music’ ever succeed with the big names going for other countries’ music?
