Sorry Not Sorry! Ababu Namwamba unapologetic over his ‘informal’ dress code while in SA

Foreign Affairs Chief Administrative Secretary Ababu Namwamba has hit back at Kenyans who trolled him over his dress code while representing President Uhuru Kenyatta in South Africa. The former Budalangi MP said he was careful with his dressing and that whenever he travels, he wears easy attires but when on business, he dresses officially.

The CAS took to his Twitter account where it all started and updated his followers saying he was preparing to travel back to the country while dressed in a tight black t-shirt and a pair of Denim jeans. On Tuesday, March 26, Twitter was on fire after Kenyans launched an attack on Namwamba after he posed for photos with South African authorities who received him at the airport. The officials, unlike the former lawmaker, were dressed in their official attire.

Together, they took a photo which the CAS shared on his Twitter page which saw him become the talk of town with Kenyans noticing how odd he appeared wearing blue jeans trouser, a white t-shirt and tight fitting jacket.

A section of Kenyans felt the CAS was inappropriately dressed given he had gone to South Africa to represent Uhuru during the Southern African Development Community (SADC) conference. Hilariously, one Twitter use likened Namwamba’s dressing code to that of the famous musician of old times, Awilo Longomba, while another noted he resembled Congo’s Koffi Olomide.
