Cases of Relationships getting nasty have lately been on the rise with a good number of Kenyan Couples affected.
The cases have however been so rampant in Kenyan Universities and Colleges with the past few months showing an ugly picture of Students committing suicide with some molesting and beating up others all in the name of a relationship gone bad.
It will be remembered that a Young Lady by the name Fridah Makena took her own life after being heartbroken by her boyfriend.
Fridah did not think twice about ending it all using pills after a painfull heartbreak with many people arguing that if only she had reached out to others for help, maybe, just maybe she would have still been alive.
Well, even before the dust settles on Fridah,s case, another gruesome case has been making headlines across Social media platforms and this time it involves a Young Lady identified as Lydiah Kemunto.
The good thing with Kemunto is that she has decided to reach out for help and has therefore refused to suffer in silence.
Kemunto has reached out to Kenyan activist Boniface Mwangi seeking to capture the attention of the public and find justice after being in an abusive relationship for around 6 months now.
Lydiah Kemunto claims that she has been in a relationship with a technical university of Nairobi student leader only identified as Neville Jakababa, who has been physically abusing her on several occasions.
According to multiple sources, Neville Jakababa is the Secretary General of the Technical University of Nairobi students body.
Kemunto says she has been in the relationship for the last 6 months and the latest incident where she was physically assaulted was on Saturday.
She said that she reported the matter at the Industrial Area Police Station.
“My name is Lydia Kemunto. I have been in an abusive relationship for the past 6months. I have been brutally beaten by my boyfriend on 3 occasions and the most recent one happened on Saturday. The guy’s name is Neville Jakababa.I reported to Industrial Area Police.” said Ms. Kemunto
Kenyans have ralied up behind her, asking the DCI to hasten investigations and ensure that Jakababa is brought to book and held accountable for his actions.
