My friends from @young_jewels_foundation have taken Endo awareness to the grassroots. Great to see @dmuthuka and my brother @slyddan sharing, teaching the young ones, breaking taboos and myths about Endometriosis. I hear they were all so amazed, intrigued, curious and some terrified. We need to teach them from a young age that extreme period pain is not normal. This disease behaves like a cancer and over time spreads to other organs of the body. In my case, it spread to my right lung, diaphragm, appendix, uterus, bowel area, yaani all over my abdomen and my gum (had 4 teeth removed last year after my excision surgery and part of my gum cut out). I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Thoracic Endometriosis after 17 years. Early diagnosis and treatment is key. Thank you for your beautiful message. I am smiling so much.
