In amidst celebration of the selfless teacher who assisted poor children in his teaching profession, DP Ruto got a chance, apart from politics, to celebrate good deeds.
Mr. Tabichi, a Mathematics and Physics teacher at Keriko Mixed Day Secondary School in Pwani Village, Nakuru was announced the winner of the global prize on Sunday evening at a ceremony held in Dubai.
Mr. Tabichi, 36, was crowned the winner for dedicating his life to helping others. He gives 80% of his teaching salary to local community projects, including education, sustainable agriculture
President Uhuru Kenyatta led the celebration by congratulating Mokaya on his global recognition.
On the other hand, netizens ‘humiliated’ DP William Ruto when he congratulated Mokaya.
The point “your selfless attitude, hardwork and sacrifice epitomises the teaching profession,” in Ruto’s tweet sparked reactions as he was a victim of grabbed land in Lang’ata where children were teargased for protesting over their playground.
