The 32nd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations is slated to kick off in Egypt on 7 June and 24 countries are due to battle to become the next continental champions.
Initially, 16 teams participated in AFCON tournaments, but in 2019 a total of 24 teams are set to contest for Africa’s greatest prize.

This is due to an extension to the number of participants by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Tanzania beat rivals Uganda 3-0 in Dar es Salaam on Sunday to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time since 1980.
