Paul Pogba has sparked a debate to Manchester United fans by his incredible assist to Antoine Griezmann during their match against Moldova where France scored the team 4-1.
United fans have, for that reason, urged their manager Solskjaer to hastily sign Griezmann.
The World Cup winner stared in midfield for Didier Deschamps side but it was his perfectly weighted pass for former United target Griezmann in the first half which got fans excited.
The United midfielder picked up the ball just outside the area before dinking the ball over the top of the Moldovan defence for Griezmann to volley home France’s opener in the 24th minute.
Pogba’s vision for the pass got fans on social media excited with the obvious replies about how Pogba and Griezmann should link up at United next season.
Griezmann was a United target in the 2017 summer transfer window but a deal never materialised.
But the attacker decided to stay in Madrid because they had been given a transfer ban and would not have been able to sign a replacement if he were to leave.
“Griezmann didn’t feel able to leave Atletico,” confirmed Griezmann’s former agent Eric Olhats.
“He’s been integral to them and has shown his commitment to the club at a time when they couldn’t sign players. Without the Fifa sanctions he would have gone.”
But, United fans are hoping he will finally make the move this summer.
