Man strips naked before boarding flight saying clothes reduced his ability to fly

A 38-year old Russian man stripped naked before boarding his flight from Moscow saying he wanted to make himself ‘more aerodynamic’.

Footage of the man, whose identity has not been revealed, shows him standing naked as he nonchalantly waits his turn to board the Ural Airlines flight at Russia’s Domodedovo Airport in Moscow.

The nude intruder was then caught by airport staff as he ran onto the jet bridge and detained by police, the Moscow Times reports.

One passenger was quoted by REN TV saying: “He shouted that he was naked because clothing impairs the aerodynamics of the body. He flies with more agility when undressed.”

Footage shows the man still completely naked when he is handcuffed.

He is first seen kneeling in front of officers in the middle of a corridor, before he turns sideways and leans his back and legs against the sidewalls.

The passenger appears to regret being stopped as he stares blankly ahead.

The man, originally from the Russian port city of Yakutsk, didn’t show signs of being drunk, witnesses claim.

“After the police had detained the offender, he was taken to the airport’s medical room and then was hospitalized in a medical facility.

“The offender is a native of Yakutsk but lives in the Moscow region,” the press service of the Interior Ministry said.

It comes just two months after a man on another Russian flight made headlines when footage showed him lowering his trousers and urinating in the middle aisle of the plane.
