Things are getting thicker for City lawyer Nyakundi after CCTV footage revealed suspicious his movement on the day his son was mysteriously murdered.
Investigators were scratching their heads to understand how it took Nyakundi 30 minutes to drive from Museum to Agah Khan Hospital where the son was reportedly pronounced dead on arrival.
Ordinarily the distance between Museum Hill and Agah Khan should take an average of 5 minutes given that it was on Sunday with no heavy traffic.
Assa Nyakundi’s vehicle, a Toyota Axio was captured from Uhuru Highway and his slain son was seated on the left rear seat.
The vehicle diverted to Wambugu Lane at the intersection of Parklands Road near Nairobi Law Campus to join Limuru Road.
The findings in the autopsy conducted on Joseph Nyakundi by government pathologist Johansen Oduor sharply contradicted an earlier statement recorded by the lawyer at Muthaiga police station.
At the police station Nyakundi told the police that he had accidentally shot his son when adjusting the position of his pistol but autopsy revealed showed that the bullet was released from outside the car.
