Siaya Senator and senate minority leader James Orengo is tirelessly working to ensure that the Orange Democratic Movement Party (ODM) candidate in Ugenya parliamentary by-elections goes through.
Orengo on Saturday led the ODM party in holding delegates’ meeting in Ukwala, before holding a rally at Awendo market in Ukwala.
The ODM candidate Chris Karani lost his seat after the Supreme Court nullified his election directing IEBC to hold a by-election.
Karan’s victory was nullified on December 2018 by the Supreme Court on grounds that the election was marred by malpractices.
Mr Karan had appealed to the Supreme Court after the Court of Appeal ruled that his election be nullified.
The elections are scheduled for 5th April 2019.
