President Kenyatta attacks his foreign CS in Namibia

President Uhuru Kenyatta attacked the Cabinet Secretary for foreign affairs while he met the Kenyans in Namibia during his visit to the said country as they celebrated 29 years of independence.

While giving his address president Kenyatta asked the Foreign CS Ms Juma to enable the Kenyans living in Namibia to make it easier for them to renew their passport instead of them going back home.

“Monica, what is so difficult with organising to have these people renew their passports here. Why should they travel all the way back home?” asked President Kenyatta

In addition he asked, “Tell me, we have heard this issue when we were in France. And it is the same when we were in China, why?”

Kenyatta and his entourage were in the evening meeting Kenyans working in the foreign country, after attending the country’s independence, when they narrated their ordeal of being forced to travel all the way to Kenya to come renew their passports.

The President lamented that the issue had been recurring in all his meetups with Kenyans living abroad.

” Form a team that will go from country to country to register Kenyans in the diaspora. No Kenyan should be forced to spend money to travel to Kenya to get passports,” added president Kenyatta.
