Bad news for gunners as Lucas Torreira might be joining another club this summer!
Lucas Torreira joined Arsenal last summer from Serie A outfit Sampdoria for a fee in the region of £27m.
Since making the switch to North London Torreira has proven to be a quality buy.
The midfielder put on some very impressive displays at the 2018 World Cup for Uruguay which excited Arsenal fans.
The 23-year-old then continued his excellent form into the 2018/19 season.
Torreira has so far, played 40 games across all competitions for Arsenal, scoring two and assisting three.
While Arsenal fans seemingly love Torreira, they will not be so enamoured by what his father has been saying recently.
According to Torreira’s dad, the now Arsenal star originally held talks with Serie A outfit Napoli over the summer but the deal broke down.
He then goes on to explain that while his son is happy at Arsenal, he could return to Italy and possibly Napoli in the future:
“There were negotiations with Napoli, but something strange happened, and you know in the transfer market things can change from one moment to the next.
“Obviously, Lucas is very fond of Italian football, where he grew up, and might return to Italy in future.
