Kenyan MP have found themselves in a hot mess after scandals with girls either pretending to be girlfriends or babes they had extra-marital affairs with.Others have now discovered a cash cow for maintaining their high standards.
Shakeel Shabbir is the Kisumu town MP.He is now embroiled in a legal tussle with his baby mama over child support.The married MP had gone to court seeking orders granting him custody and parental responsibility of the two-and-a-half-year-old child.
The Baby Mama wants him to pay Sh50,000 for rent, Sh18,000 for recreational activities, Sh30,000 monthly food supplies, Sh40,000 school fees and Sh10,000 each for house help’s salary, security, school lunch, school transport and other transport per month.She wanted the MP to pay for utility bills and insuarance as well.
Senator Wamatangi was sued by a woman who claimed that he was not taking responsibility of a 10-year-old child she bore for him.According to Winfred Wangui Kimani, the senator has only seen their child twice, “when she was two-months-old and he gave me Sh7, 000, and towards the end of 2007, when he was vying for a parliamentary seat.” She further claims that, “He came home to see my mother with Sh20, 000 and promised to pay for his daughter’s upkeep.”
Charles Nyachae ,former senatorial aspirant ,Kisii county was accused of neglecting his child born out of a one night stand with a woman named Esther Wamuyu Macharia.
In texts exposed by The Nairobian, Wamuyu was demanding Sh100,000 monthly upkeep until their child reached 18 or a Sh20 million one-off payment, while Nyachae was only willing to art with Sh26,000 for school fees.
Peter Gitau,The Mwea MP Has also had a fair drama with his baby mama.She went to court to have him support the child. At the time she was seeking Sh1.2 million from the lawmaker in upkeep.
Gitau denied the allegations, saying that he is a happily married family man.In a suit filed at a Nairobi court, the mother working in a private company in Nairobi, claimed that Mr Gitau made her pregnant and then dumped her.
Its clear the demands are high but these leaders should just remain faithful to their spouses to avoid this kind of situations.
