Cruel police officers visit Blend bar in search of Sheesha, leave revellers with injuries

The Nairobi’s famous Blend club was on Thursday night raided by police officers with an intention of arresting sheesha smokers.

The impromptu visit at the club caught revellers unaware which caused commotion in the building.

Nairobi being the most ‘lively’ cities in Africa, the club was full as weekednd drew closer.

Sheesha was banned in Kenya and in July 2018, the court upheld the ban imposed by the Ministry of Health (MOH) over its exessive usage and possible health problems.

Kenya was the third country to impose a ban on the product after Tanzania and Rwanda did the same as a measure to protect the health and well-being of its citizens.

Those who were not lucky enough to escape last night faced the full wrath of the Kenyan Police brutality with some ending up inflicted with serious injuries.

Police brutality has been a culture in Kenya and with no regulations, will continue placing citizens in harms way.
