United Will Have to Splash More Than $100 million for Sancho

Borussia Dortmund will hold out for a fee of £100 million as Manchester United look to finalise the summer transfer of Jadon Sancho.

The Premier League giants bosses believed they could land him for around £80 million, but the German side are planning on extracting significantly more cash from Manchester United for a deal to get over the line.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made rising England star his top summer target, and BVB accept they may have to sell the 18-year-old in the summer transfer window. But they will not let him leave for a cut-price fee and will demand £100 million for the winger.

The Red Devils are willing to back Ole Gunnar Solskjaer substantially in what will be his first transfer window as the permanent Manchester United boss but the German giants famously sold Ousmane Dembele to Barcelona for £135.5 million and the club’s model is very much based on cashing in on young talent for huge fees.

If they are forced to sell Jadon Sancho, they will look to replace him with close friend and fellow Three Lions squad member Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The winger is frustrated at a lack of playing time at Stamford Bridge and submitted a transfer request during the winter window to force a move to Bayern Munich. However, the Blues refused to sell him and hope to persuade him to sign a new contract amid the transfer ban.

In addition, Callum Hudson-Odoi is Chelsea’s academy graduate, and the FA Cup holders surely do not want to be forced to sell their star boy in that manner.
