Ranked! The best Arsenal goals under Unai Emery(Video)

Unai Emery’s tenure as Arsenal manage has had it’s fair share of mixed fortunes. The Gunners currently sit 4th on the Premier League table, one point behind third place Spurs and two ahead of 5th placed Manchester United. While some have accused the former PSG manager of being too defensive in style of football, he has delivered some really tasty goals for the Gunners so far this season. Here we look at the top 3 goals that Arsenal have scored under Unai Emery’s guidance.

3. Mesut Ozil vs Leicester City

The German midfielder has had problems with Unai Emery early on in the season but it still doesn’t take away the fact that he scored one of the goals of the season at home to Leicester City. Arsenal were one goal down and the first half was almost over when Lucas Torreira fed Mesut Ozil the ball on the half way line. The German raced with the ball and played it to Spanish right back Hector Bellerin who returned it first time into the box were Mesut Ozil was arriving. The German simply carerresed the ball with his left foot and coolly guided it into the net to level the score. The fact that it went in ff the post while the goalkeeper barely moved made it even better!

2. Aubameyang Vs Tottenham Hotspurs

Arsenal scored an early penalty from Gabon striker Pierre Aubameyang but they would go into half time trailing as goals from Eric Dier Harry Kane gave Spurs the initiative at the Emirates. Ten minutes int the second half however, Hector Bellerin sent Aaron Ramsey through with a delicious through ball and the Welshman played a first time pass to the Gabonese striker who in turn thumped the ball first time from outside the box to leave the Spurs keeper helpless. He barely moved! Arsenal would go on to win the match 4-2 and move ahead of their North London rivals on the Premier League table.

  1. Aaron Ramsey vs Fulham

Arsenal put five past Fulham at Craven Cottage but Aaron Ramsey’s goal in this fixture was worthy of all three points. It was a move that started straight from his own box following a broken Fulham attack. Ramsey played a one two with Alex Lacazette before doing the same with Hector Bellerin. At this stage he was already in midfield and played a beautiful ball to Henrik Mikhitaryan who fed the ball to Aubameyang. The Gabon striker crossed the ball to Aaron Ramsey who had already made a run into the box and the Welsh midfielder backheeled it into the far post leaving the Fulham defence plus their goalkeeper amused by what they had seen. It was the sort of goal that everyone would love to score and will be watched by many even after he depart to Juventus once this season is over.A gem of a goal and the best for Arsenal under Unai Emery!
