Deputy president William Ruto’s spiritual wife Rachel Ruto has invited the nation to join in fasting and praying today stating that God is spirit and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth quoting the bible verse 4:23-24.
“A time is coming & has now come when true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit & in truth for they are the kind of worshipers Father seeks.God is spirit & his worshipers must worship in Spirit & in truth. Jn 4:23-24 I welcome you to join in fasting & praying today,”her tweet read.
Her message was however not received well by angry Kenyans who came up with valid prayer items of their on like the spirit of lying which is a mockery of Ruto’s remarks over the drought situation in the country.
Whereas locals, including government officials, have put the death toll from the current drought at 19, Deputy President William Ruto has remained adamant that no Kenyan has starved to death in any part of the country.
Many have called it mockery of Christianity,human values and virtues to be praying for a week while Kenyans are dying of hunger.
