Denis Suarez will not remain at the Emirates Stadium beyond the end of his loan deal according to Arsenal manager Unai Emery.

The Mirror citing French football journalist Julien Laurens, claim Arsenal boss Emery is disappointed with Suarez’s poor performances in Gunners’ training sessions.

At the last count, the 25-year-old Suarez who arrived Arsenal during the winter transfer window, has only enjoyed 67 minutes of Premier League football so far.

Yeah I think so [the money can be spent elsewhere],” Laurens was quoted as saying in Premier League Today.

“It hasn’t really worked out for Suarez. It is nothing Emery could have guessed before, anyone else at the club, not even Suarez. “On paper he looked like a good signing, it’s a loan, let’s see what he can do in England.

“It turns out even at training maybe Emery has seen that he was not good enough to give him more game time. “So I think this one obviously is not going to go any further,” Laurens stressed, even as he was quick to add that the club will be clever with their summer spending.

“They won’t have much money to spend in the summer, I think they will have a bit of money to spend, but not hundreds of millions,” he added. “So they will have to be very careful where they spend it.

“If they do like last summer, where you look at [Bernd] Leno, Sokratis [Papastathopoulos], [Matteo] Guendouzi and [Lucas] Torreira, that was money very well spent. “They will have to do that again this summer with the budget they will have to improve the squad,” Laurens submitted.

It was earlier reported that Denis Suarez could be making a premature return to Barcelona after failing to make his loan move to Arsenal count. The Gunners are already lining up a replacement for the Spanish international who has struggled to impress under Unai Emery.

A loan deal was agreed for the 25-year-old in January with a view of making the deal permanent in the summer pegged at £18 million.
