Since Sir Alex Ferguson Left the club in 2013, Manchester United have made some high-profile and not so high-profile signings that have come and failed at the club.

The signing of Marouane Fellaini from Everton by David Moyes was one of the transfers that did not yield an enormous benefit, many United fans will agree.

When the signings of Angel di Maria and Radamel Falcao were completed, many fans thought Man United had made the signings that would lift the club and take them to great heights, but it turned out badly as both player were failures at the end.

Matteo Darmian was also singed from Torino with high expectations from the fans, but after a very impressive start under van Gaal, the Italian’s form went down rapidly. He rarely plays for United these days and was linked with a move away from the club.

Alexis Sanchez is probably the most disappointing so far having done well at Barcelona and Arsenal before moving to Manchester United in January 2018 in a swap deal involving Henrikh Mkhitaryan. He was unable to play consistently well for Jose Mourinho, and has been unable to do well under Solskjaer.

According to reports, United want to get rid of Sanchez as they have no hope he will be able to perform at the highest level for the Red Devils.
