Pastor Nga’nga is man of cloth but also controversial in his dealings and that is why he probably never escapes the headlines.
At one time, the pastor went on record after a member of his congregation told the court that he unconsciously deposited Ksh 2million into Neno Evangelism Centre’s bank account after Ng’ang’a prayed for him.
Just recently, James Ng’ang’a was arrested over threats he allegedly made to Citizen TV journalist Linus Kaikai.
The controversial preacher released a sensational video clip in social media issuing threats of unknown consequences against the journalist who had criticised rogue preachers and called for regulation of the religious sector, including a requirement of higher education for clerics.
Mr Kaikai had hit out at religious leaders who exploit their flock in the name of God.
This time, the pastor has been slapped with a heft fine that will see him go underworld.
Pastor James Ng’ang’a has been charged with threatening to kill Citizen TV journalist Linus Kaikai.
He is also charged with incitement to violence and disobedience of the law.
The magistrate ordered him to be released on a cash bail of Sh200,000, pending mention of the case on April 3.
