MP Jaguar breaks silence after protests by Gikomba traders on poor roads

Starehe Member of Parliament Charles Kanyi Njagua, popularly known as Jaguar has  broken silence following protests by Gikomba traders on poor roads.

The traders had mentioned that their efforts to link up with the MP have been fruitless and they decided to hold peaceful demonstration with the hope that this will catch the attention of the MP and result to action.

The traders complained that the road has been closed for years and what they wanted is to hear from the MP how long it will take for the road construction to be complete.

Another trader also expressed the frustration on behalf of the people saying that they have been addressing the issue to leader yet nothing is done.

He also added that it has been a year now since the MP Jaguar made promises and told them that he understands their situation.

The traders say that they since then the MP has never gotten back to them concerning any updates.

In response to the claims that the have not been able to reach him, Jaguar says that due an outcry for the construction of New Pumwani Road he visited the area with KURA officials and the same will start this week.

“The contractor was already on site in December and was told off until the area became less busy.NAWASCO has already checked on the drainage ” he said on his tweet

Kenyans however did not seem to understand what he meant since some are not even sure whether he is speaking of the same road in question.
