Manchester United target makes disappointing comments

Benfica stalwart Joao Felix has been linked with Manchester United in recent times but despite speculations, the teenager insists that his happy at the Portuguese club.

United have sent scouts to a number of Benfica games this season to monitor Felix as they prepare to launch a bid for the attacking midfielder. The teenager has impressed in Portugal this season, scoring 11 goals and notching six assists in all competitions for Benfica. The Red Devils are also reported to be interested in £65m Benfica defender Ruben Dias as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to bolster his defense.

Felix revealed that he is happy at Benfica despite having ambitions of playing for elite clubs in Europe as quoted by Manchester Evening News, “My dream has always been to play for the big teams and in the big competitions. But I’m here and I’m very happy with Benfica, which, like those teams, is also a big one in Europe.”

The Portuguese also spoke on his hefty €120million release clause, when asked if it is a crazy figure, “Maybe, yes. But I do not understand the market or values, these are issues of representatives and presidents. I just play.”
