How President Uhuru’s nephew left Kajiado residents at a great loss

Meshack Mbugua Muhoho, President Uhuru’s nephew left Kajiado residents at a loss after he bought all the animals that were to be auctioned. He had accompanied Kajiado Speaker Joseph Osoi.

He bought two rams and 10 ewes at Ksh 390,000 during the event at Erankau. Dorper Sheep Breeders Society of Kenya had to apologise to the locals for the inconvenience.

Kajiado Deputy Governor, Martin Moshisho, urged locals to engage in profit-making farming. Late last year, Kimalel goat auction held in Baringo saw President Uhuru and his deputy, William Ruto, buy animals worth Ksh10 million.

The deputy president spent Ksh6 million while the president spent Ksh4 million during the event where at least 2,500 goats were sold. The goats were auctioned between Ksh 10,000 to Ksh 12,000, meaning the DP had approximately bought 500 to 600 goats, while the president bought between 300 to 400.
