Klopp drops a major hint on his Liverpool future ahead of Fulham encounter

Sunday’s Premier League action starts at Craven Cottage Fulham host Liverpool.

A win for Liverpool would lift them to the top of the table.

Man City have been in FA Cup action over the weekend, winning 3-2 at Swansea.

The Sky Blues remain on course to win the quadruple this season.

Should Liverpool win today, the Reds will move two points clear of City. The Sky Blues will have a game in hand, however.

Liverpool arrive in London following a 3-1 Champions League win at Bayern Munich.

Prior to the Fulham match, Jurgen Klopp has dropped a major hint about his Liverpool future.

The German has revealed he intends to stay at Anfield for a long time yet.

The 51-year-old is under contract at Anfield until 2022. But could Klopp soon sign an extension?

In his presser before Fulham, quotes were presented to Klopp from Franz Beckenbauer about how he’s the right man for Bayern Munich. Klopp replied:

There is no bigger legend in Germany than Franz Beckenbauer, it feels great he speaks positively about me. It is just like the king with his sword calling a man ‘sir’.

If he thinks that, it is a compliment to Liverpool. Bayern have done everything right in the last 10 or 15 years without making many mistakes but I feel I am a good fit where I am.

I love it here, there are lots of opportunities to develop an already really good team. I have enough confidence to say I am the right manager for Liverpool at the moment, though in football we all constantly have to prove ourselves.

So far it has worked out and hopefully it will last a lot longer. That would be cool, because I hope that in 50 or 60 years I can be remembered without referring to managing many different clubs. I am happy with the clubs I have had.
