The brutal murder of Former University of Nairobi Student leader Samuel Ragira aka OCS Ragira continues to draw angry reactions among Kenyans and especially the Youth.
Ragira met his untimely death on Thursday evening at Klabu 36 opposite Nairobi Primary School after allegedly confronting goons who were harrasing traders by demanding for large sums of cash in exchange for stalls.
According to the late Ragira, the goons were charging between 10,000 – 20,000 shillings from traders in exchange for these stalls while the police watched.
He had vowed to fight these goons and it is this that apparently led him to his early grave as he was shot by these said goons.
His lifeless body is currently lying at the Chiromo Mortuary.
His Friends have on the other hand vowed to get Justice for him and his young family with Embakasi East MP Babu Owino saying that he will not rest until the killers of his Friend Ragira are brought to book.
Saturday saw Babu Visit Ragira at Chiromo Mortuary to pay his last respects after which he visited Ragira’s wife Yvonne and assured her of his continued support.
He pledge to empower her to start a business to enable her raise their daughter Talia as her departed father would have wanted.
Babu also Promised that in the spirit on Comradeship, he will offset all of Ragira’s funeral expenses.
This even as he condemned in the strongest terms possible the brutal murder of Ragira.
He also visited the Directorate of Criminal Investigations Headquarters on Kiambu Road to follow up on the state of investigations and met with senior DCI officials who assured him that they are on top of things and will soon bring those responsible to book.
