A section of Kenyan musicians have expressed frustrations following the event yet to be done but have South African acts as the main artists.

The artists took to Twitter to air their views to a government agency for booking South African artists to perform at a Kenyan event as the main acts instead of one of their own.

The debate of play Kenyan music sparked a lot of reactions and so far the fruits have been seen through a lot of Kenyan songs in local media.

The debate also saw the street anthems getting hihger attentions unlike before where established artists only had a big chance of gettting their share of the cake.

The disatisfactions from the tweets comes after the Kenya Tourism Board (KTB), under the Magical Kenya Open Golf tournament going down this weekend, invited continental heavy hitters Mafikizolo as the main performers with Kenyan acts, including Ciano Maimba, David Hunter, June Gachui, and Silayio, reduced only to curtain raisers.

Even though the main sponsor is a South African Bank, Kenyans were not saatisfied with how the ministry will not give high profile rtist that Kenya ever produced.

Some suggested that the government should have given the Sauti Sol boy band a chance to tak the main stage.

Activist Joe Muchiri see Magical Kenya as a big let down in giving foreigners chance and not their own. He added that their slogan is Buy Kenya Build Kenya and they don’t appreciate their content.

” MagicalKenya and Tunajibu are the biggest let down in this country to the creative arts, sports & youth in general… How do U have an event about Kenya 🇰🇪 being magical & the headline acts are freaking South Africans SMH when I complain it’s not for nothing this is no fair,” Muchiri said.

Antoneosoul blasted magical Kenya for showing the world that Kenya has no good acts;

When will Kenya start supporting its own products?
