Wamalwa reveals what he told DCI about Arror/Kimwarer dams

Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugine Wamalwa on Thursday was a guest of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations over matters concerning the ongoing probe on Arror and Kimwarer dams.

Wamalwa and his Agriculture Counterpart Mwangi Kiunjuri recorded statements on Thursday morning and he was fast in revealing what he told the DCI.

Through his official twitter account, Wamalwa admitted having recorded a statement, saying that he clarified to the DCI that the two dams were not under his jurisdiction.

He however cited that he urged Kenyans to support the ongoing probe and war on graft.

Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich also visited the DCI headquarters along Kiambu road three times last week for grilling over the same matter.

Details have it that Ksh 21 billion meant for the construction of the two dams were misused .

Deputy President William Ruto however came out dismissing the claims, arguing that the only money in question was ksh 7 billion.

This sparked a war of words between him and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
