Prof. Magoha’s Solemn Promise to MP’s Got Education Cartles Crying Foul

Magoha said that under his leadership he will focus on service delivery and ensure value for money injected for development projects in schools is seen.

Education Cabinet Secretary Nominee Prof. George Magoha has promised to streamline education sector in the country if parliament approves his nomination.

Appearing before the National Assembly Committee on Appointments, Professor Magoha, said should he be approved, Kenyans should expect to see changes in the Education sector.

On the new competency based curriculum, Professor Magoha told the legislators that he supports it fully adding that the new curriculum is one of those things he will ensure is successful.

The CS nominee said he will make sure that by September this year, the curriculum for grade 4 is ready.

On the issue of birth certificates for the National Education Management Information System (NEMIS) Registration, Prof. Magoha says no child will be denied to sit exams for reasons beyond their abilities.

On claims by Gwasi MP John Mbadi that his leadership style is mechanical and dictatorial Prof. Magoha denied the allegations saying he consults widely before making any decision.

If approved professor Magoha will be replacing Ambassador Amina Mohamed who has since being moved to sports ministry.
