The golden Boot race; All that a player wants to have for himself at the end of a season

The Premier League Golden Boot is still firmly up for grabs as the 2018-19 season nears its final phase.

Harry Kane, who topped the scoring charts in successive campaigns between 2015-17, has his sights set on another Golden Boot, though an injury out in February has left him playing to catch-up with leading Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero who is a goal ahead of him.

However, the Spurs star returned earlier than expected and currently sits on 17 goals for the campaign and few would bet against him making a late push for the trophy although the club has experienced several falls and loses in the Leagues and now look threatened for a top four position.

Manchester City star Sergio Aguero leads the charts with 18 goals, while last season’s Golden Boot winner, Mohamed Salah is just one behind on 17 for the campaign as is Arsenals Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Sadio Mane’s goal for Liverpool against Burnley saw him join the Arsenal forward on 16 goals, while Raheem Sterling’s hat trick for Man City vs Watford put him on 15.

Eden Hazard is on 13, and Alexandre Lacazette, Romelu Lukaku, Raul Jimenez and Jamie Vardy all sit on 12 one ahead of Manchester United star Paul Pogba who has 11 goals under his name.

Chelsea’s Eden Hazard leads in the highest number of assists this season having hit 77 of them followed closely by Raheem Sterling’s 76, Romelu Lukaku follows with 71 and Paul Pogba goes fourth with 70 assists.
