Boy Band Sauti Sol have marinated our ears with music we sing along to since 10 years ago when they dropped their first ‘Lazizi Video.
It is clearly paying off because the band will be sharing a stage with heavy names in the music industry such as Missy Elliot, Mary J Blige, Teyana Taylor, Davido and so many other local and international artistes.
They are the only Kenyan artistes who will be performing at The 25th Essence Festival. The event that will be happening on the 4th to 8th of July is known as “the party with a purpose”. An annual music festival which started in 1995 as a one-time event to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Essence, a magazine aimed primarily towards African-American women.Happening at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, New Orleans, Louisiana, United States the various artistes will be performing R&B, Soul, Funk, Gospel, Blues, Hip-Hop, Jazz and Reggae.
