Chelsea star makes frank admission over Hazard’s future amid interest from Real Madrid

Chelsea’s Italian International admits that the Chelsea players – like the Blues fans – are afraid that Eden Hazard could leave this summer to join Real Madrid.

However, Emerson Palmieri says he believes that the Belgian will stay in west London, despite the continued speculation over his future amid interest from Real Madrid.

Hazard’s future is the hot topic of debate following the return of Zinedine Zidane to Real Madrid, with the Belgian speaking glowingly about the French icon, describing him as his idol.

But Emerson has given Chelsea  fans hope with his belief about what will happen this summer when it comes to Hazard, having spoken of his importance to the Blues.

“He [Hazard] shows every day how important he is,” the 24-year-old told Sky Sports.

“Obviously we have many players of quality in our team, but he is on another level, and is one of the best in the world.

“I personally cannot see him leaving, but you never know in football.

“Like Chelsea fans, we are afraid that he might leave, I still believe that he will stay and we really want him to stay.”

Hazard has yet to commit his future either way, with another year left on his contract beyond the summer, but he has spoken several times on the possibility of moving to Madrid.

“The family is in London, I’m also going to be 28. I do not want to have any regrets at the end of my career. It’s a decision I’m going to make, I do not know when, but I’ll take it,” he said.

“You know me, I’ve always loved Real, even before [Zinedine] Zidane, we’ll see what happens. As I said, I’m already finishing this year with Chelsea, I still have a year of contract after this year, we’ll see.”
